We here at the McCook Humane Society have been closely monitoring this situation and the impact it is having in our community. We are operating under a Limited Access Policy. Our priority has always been the safety of our staff, volunteers and guests, while still maintaining our mission in finding permanent homes for our temporarily homeless friends and reuniting the lost with their families.
Weather permitting, we are still planning on having our June Nail Day Event (Saturday, June 13th, from 1pm until 3pm). Please watch our Facebook page and here for more updates. This will be a fun outside event. Stay tuned for more details!
At this present time we will still be handling adoptions and surrenders on an appointment only basis, one family or person at a time. For adoptions, please fill out the adoption application online on our website. You will be contacted in the order in which the applications are received, and an appointment will be made during our otherwise normal business hours. You will be asked a series of health/COVID-19 related questions to ensure your safety and the safety of our staff.
We truly appreciate your considerate patience during this unusual time, and thank you for your continuing support. Please call us with any concerns or questions. By continuing to show kindness, and remaining calm, we will all get through this.
"PET NIGHT"s will always be remembered with Mr. and Mrs. Claus hosted by Dennis and Cathy Shannon.
