We here at the McCook Humane Society have been closely monitoring this situation and the impact it is having in our community. We are now operating under a Limited Access Policy. Our priority has always been the safety of our staff, volunteers and guests, while still maintaining our mission in finding permanent homes for our temporarily homeless friends and reuniting the lost with their families.
We have paused our Monthly Nail Days, until further notice.
We will be handling adoptions on an appointment only basis, one family or person at a time. Please fill out the adoption online at our website. You will be contacted in the order in which the applications are received, and an appointment will be made during our otherwise normal business hours. You will be asked a series of health/COVID-19 related questions to ensure your safety and the safety of our staff.
We truly appreciate your considerate patience during this unusual time, and thank you for your continuing support. Please call us with any concerns or questions. By continuing to show kindness, and remaining calm, we will all get through this.
Each month we honor an employee or a volunteer for their hard work and dedication. They receive a certificate of appreciation and a Walmart Gift card made possible by a donation from Sharleen Riemenschneider of Edward Jones!
