We here at the McCook Humane Society have been closely monitoring this situation and the impact it is having in our community. As a precautionary measure, the McCook Humane Society has decided to help ensure the health and safety of our staff and guests by closing to the public until further notice. We are committed to an active and precautionary approach to halt the spread of this and any illness at our shelter and in our community, while still maintaining our mission in finding permanent homes for our temporarily homeless friends and reuniting the lost with their families.

We will be periodically checking the messages for emergencies, and making arrangements for essential business during normal business hours of Monday through Friday from 2pm until 5pm and Saturdays from Noon until 4pm.

Please know that we are actively discussing ways to stay on top of this situation and constantly monitoring it. We will provide updates as necessary, please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any concerns. By continuing to show kindness, and remaining calm, we will get through this.
