January 20, 2021 UPDATE in regards to COVID-19

At this time, we are still operating on a Limited Access Policy... Because we care about our community and want to help stop the spread of the virus, protecting our community, staff, guests and volunteers... we are taking steps as a precaution due to the cases still being around and on the rise. We are monitoring the COVID-19 Risk dial and will be adapting our restrictions to follow suit. At this time, social distancing restrictions will still be in place, meaning one person or family unit at a time will be allowed in the facility and we will be going by appointments during our normally regular business hours. An application for adoption is available on our website at www.mccookhumanesociety.com under the tab dog or cat, please indicate who you are interested in adopting. Our front door will be locked during our otherwise normal open hours, you may knock and if we do not have an otherwise scheduled appointment, or someone else in the facility, you will be able to come in and view our pets available for adoption.

Masks are mandatory. We ask that you do not come into the facility if you have been in contact with anyone who has tested positive with COVID-19, or if you have traveled to a known high risk area within the last 14 days, if you are at high risk, or if you are showing any symptoms of the virus. We appreciate your continuing support and understanding during these unusual times and wish everyone a happy, enjoyable and safe experience while visiting our facility.
